Philips FR3 Infant/Child Key (989803150031)

For use only with the HeartStart FR3 Defibrillator (“FR3”) to treat a suspected victim of sudden cardiac arrest who is under 55 lbs (25 kg) or 8 years old. If you are uncertain of the child’s exact weight or age, use the FR3 without the Infant/Child Key.

With the Infant/Child Key inserted, the FR3 announces “Infant/Child Mode” and automatically adjusts the defibrillation therapy to a level more appropriate for infants and children. In addition, the FR3 provides instructions for infant/child CPR as part of any configured CPR protocol. No special defibrillator pads are required to use the FR3 to treat an infant or child. The HeartStart SMART Pads III provided with the defibrillator are designed for use on all patients.
